In terms of intersections, one resident called the crossing at Park Avenue at Third Street dangerous, crazy and a nightmare. Another local called the intersection the most treacherous area in Laguna Beach. Traffic there is very heavy during work and school commute hours. A stop sign at the intersection was finally approved in July of 2008.
California Highway Patrol records show that there was a positive note in 2008. In Orange County, preliminary data indicate that car accident fatalities dropped about nine percent from 2007 to 2008.
