Best way to release a few extra horses from a 1980s bike?
What is the best way to extract a few more bhp?
Remember,this bike has no electronics so a power commander is not an option as is re mapping.
It already has a race pipe fitted too.
Any thing to boost power can only be engine or carb mods.

BTW,most people seem to think this is a cb750 f2….it aint!
it is the 16 valve,cbx750 with hydraulic tappets and piggy back alternator,worlds apart from the old cb750f2.
in standard trim with the pipe,given enough road and get well tucked in,it pulls 140mph
You could increase your main jet size in your carbs by about 15% and junk the air box, using cone filters instead.
Will give it a wickedly load induction roar to!
the down side is you may need to experiment with the jet size, and on a four carbed bike that could be a bit of a pain in the butt.
However done right this will compliment your aftermarket race pipe & could give upto another 20bhp!!!
Would only cost about £40 – £50 to do aswell.
